A stream meandering through the cave interior discharges somewhere into Skaggs Creek. Further research is needed to determine the discharge location. One possible point is on the other side of this sandbar in the large wall depression.
This picture gives an indication of the amount of sediment removed by humans, but even though there have been several feet removed the actual thickness of the sediment is unknown. More research would have to be conducted to find the actual thickness of the remaining sediment and find bedrock.
